Dr. Sapna Raina completed her MS in Ophthalmology from Air Force Command Hospital, Bangalore. She has also attained DNB (Ophthalmology) and was awarded the MNAMS by the National Academy of Medical Sciences. She has also been awarded Fellowship by All India Collegium of Ophthalmologist (FAICO) in Glaucoma.
Dr. Sapna Raina’s clinical experience includes more than 13 years of distinguished service in the Indian Armed Forces at premium institutes including AFCME New Delhi and AHR&R Hospital as an Ophthalmologist and was Ist in Overall Order of Merit during Medical Officers Basic Course. She has extensive experience in Stitchless Cataract Surgery including premium lenses (Toric, Multifocal, Trifocal lenses), well versed in Retina Diagnostics and Medical Retina including Intravitreal Injections and Retinal Laser, Proficient in all Glaucoma diagnostics, therapeutics and surgeries.
Dr. Sapna Raina was Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi and UG Examiner for Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi.
She is an expert in Aviation Ophthalmology and was HOD (Ophthalmology) at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi for more than 8 years. She has been conducting Ophthalmological Examination & Evaluation for Defence and Civil Aviation Pilots in India. She has been key Specialist responsible for constantly reviewing and updating the Ophthalmic Standards for the conduct of medical examination for Defence and Civil Aviation Pilots by constantly researching and submitting papers in various national/international Aviation Medicine Seminars. She has been honoured and won various awards.
