Dr. Punit Singla has done his MBBS from Dayanad Medicial College & Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab & his MS from Sardar Patel medical College, PBM Hospital, Bikaner, Rajasthan. He later completed his DNB in Gastro-intestinal Surgery from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital & Liver Transplantation Fellowship from Medanta-The Medicity. He has been a member of the High Volume centre which is involved in innovations in living donor liver transplant such as minimally invasive donor hepatectomy (midline incision, laparoscopic & robotic), ABO incompatible LDLT, domino LDLT & India’s first intestinal transplant, He has participated in the care of more than 800 liver transplantation & involved in surgeries of about 250 liver transplants including living donor, deceased donor, paediatric transplants, swap, dual lobe, combined liver kidney, domino, ABO-incompatible, intestinal transplant; complex hepato-biliary-pancreatic & gastro-intestinal surgeries including laparoscopic & robotic transplants.
